C'est plutôt : f(x) = - x² - 2x + 1 .

a.

On a: f(h) = - h² - 2h + 1 et f(0) = 1 ;

donc : f(h) - f(0) = - h² - 2h + 1 - 1 = - h² - 2h ;

donc : (f(h) - f(0))/h = (- h² - 2h)/h = - h - 2 .

b.

Pour obtenir f ' (0) à partir de (f(h) - f(0))/h = - h - 2 ;

on fait tendre h vers 0 , ce qui revient à remplacer

h par 0 dans - h - 2 , ce qui donne :

f ' (0) = - 0 - 2 = - 2 .
